From Illusion to Elysium

From pottery of the poet to the quandary of the philosophers, love has always been an unsolved and unfounded riddle. Though many acclaimed it to be evident at some point in life, some believe it to be dependent on karma. Our journey of exploration for the love commences even before we know it. But the fact is we start practicing it unknowingly before we desire to seek. And the irony is that we spend whole life searching for it when we are actually living with it.

Our limited knowledge and worldly pleasure misguide us throughout life. The fact is that invisible dynamic energy which holds us together on this earth – gravity, air, wind, thoughts, beliefs, desires, wishes, etc. is actually love. These things surround us and make us what we are. Synonymously, the energy flowing inside us inferred as soul, is what drives the human anatomy. We often become deluded by an illusionary societal life depiction and engrossed ourselves in search of some external being rather than exploring what lies inside being.

As per our ancient philosopher Aristophanes:

“When a person meets the half that is his very own, something wonderful happens: the two are struck from their senses by love, by a sense of belonging to one another, and by desire, and they don’t want to be separated from one another, not even for a moment. These are people who finish out their lives together and still cannot say what it is they want from one another”

Well, this sounds magical and alluring. Could be true for some but extremely temporary. Since we are the dynamic beings living in a dynamic environment with the dynamic energy flowing inside us, we cannot remain stagnant at one place, with the same thought and with the same power. Everything is continuously flowing, therefore, with time as life discover its new meaning so do love. Love is not just limited to a physical attraction or worldly desire, it is beyond that. Even if you experienced its best version externally it doesn’t last forever. The concept of “soulmate,” is outdated and as we entered into this new traumatic era, we realize it cannot be found or achieved but rather it is a deeply scripted feeling within us which become stronger when we put incessant attention and concentration to enlighten it.

A non-existential, non-healer, non-desirous but more mundane is what love is. It is painful and troublesome which teaches us to learn and accept pain. Embracing pain is a true form of love and the effort, time and diligence you put in awakening your soul is the true love which will take you to the Elysium before death – a permanent state of true happiness and peace (other words for true love). Where you will be loved all the time and can sense love even in the clothes you wear; the trees will smile at you as you pass by, the wind will kiss your soul and you will feel blessed in every way.
